Story
PaRS Engineering are passionate about improving Road Safety, identifying and reducing risks to highway designs, ideally before construction, thus saving time, money and lives in the process.

Get to Know Us
We are a family run independent company specialising in Road Safety Audit, Road Safety Engineering, Collision Investigation and offering Highways Planning advice.
With a combined 41 years’ experience across Local Government Sue and Rikki, a mother and son team, formed PaRS Engineering to pursue their passion in saving lives, by identifying and reducing risks to highway designs. We bring a wealth of experience across several different engineering disciplines sharing a lot of experience.

Road Safety Audit
Here at PaRS Engineering, we are a team of two Road Safety Auditors, RoSPA trained, with a combined 23 years of Road Safety Auditing experience on Local Highways, following the DMRB GG119
Safety Audit CV’s will be presented for approval on request.

Stage 1 - Completion of Preliminary Design/Feasibility
Stage 2 - Completion of Detailed Design (or combined Stage 1&2)
Stage 3 - Completion of Construction
Stage 4 - Post Opening Monitoring (12 months)
Participation In Road Safety Audit
PaRS Engineering may be willing to assist in a Road Safety Audit, Stages 1, 2 or 3 at an hour rate plus mileage/overnight accommodation if required.
Audit Team Member Steps:

PaRS Engineering to jointly approve the Road Safety Audit Brief as part of the Audit team.

Drawings: supply 1 hard copy set and an electronic set as per the Road Safety Audit Brief.

Time frame and fee agreed following discussion.

Settle invoice to initiate works.
Audit Team Leader Steps: As per the full audit, depending on the Stage required.

Collision Investigation/AIP
Engineers from PaRS Engineering can investigate collision data, identify potential remedial measures and provide a written report with a Cost benefit Analysis if required.
Minor Highways Planning Advice
We can provide advice on a developer’s proposed measures on the highway. This can be for minor accesses for householder applications or larger developer lead housing estates or industrial units.



Compliance
Whilst Road Safety Auditing, PaRS Engineering are not a check of standards. We will however ensure that we comply with the principles set out in the DMRB GG119.
As part of any review, we will use Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions, Manual for Streets, Manual for Streets 2, Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Local Transports Notes along with the Local Highways Authority advice and guidance documents as best practice where appropriate.

Site visits/safety
6-point PPE is available for our team as required with 3-point PPE used as a minimum.
Live sites - Construction Site rules will apply, and appropriate PPE will be worn.
Dynamic risk assessments will be undertaken by PaRS Engineering staff on all other sites.
